From the sugar-rich food we binge on to the everyday stressors of our lives– you never know what’s triggering your tired or breaking out skin. Take advantage of the time at home with these quick and easy hacks that are guaranteed to help your skin feel as flawless as a baby’s.
Coffee for 2!

One to drink and one to apply. This amazingly rejuvenating ingredient isn’t meant just to get you out of bed. Coffee is also known to stimulate blood flow and mitigate UV ray damage. So sip and slather away!
Ingredients you’ll need:
3 tsp of ground coffee, 1/2 cup of yoghurt and 1 tsp honey.
Directions:
Mix the ingredients until you have a consistent and thick paste. Blend it in a mixer and set it aside for 10 minutes. Add one teaspoon of honey to this. Use it as a scrub, and massage it onto your face in slow, upward motions. Wash it off with cold water.
Pucker up, Honey

A lip scrub that tastes good too? Sign us up! Have a flawlessly painted pout for when you go out next with this amazing (and environment-friendly) lip scrub.
Ingredients you’ll need:
2 tsp of raw sugar, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp coconut oil, a dash of lemon juice.
Directions:
Combine the ingredients and apply the paste onto your lips with a toothbrush in gentle circular motions. Rinse it off and follow up with your favourite lip balm.
Aloe There!

Stinging of the eyes after a long day in front of a screen? Aloe to the rescue! This little hack is one of the most effective and acts as a quick life-saver that can be left on at night, or before you apply your makeup for the day. It hydrates and soothes the sensitive skin around the eyes while cooling them for comfort. Bonus points for minimizing dark circles and puffiness.
Ingredients you’ll need:
Refrigerated aloe vera gel.
Directions:
Scoop a decent amount of the gel onto your ring finger and apply it all around your eyes, from under the eye to the lid. Apply minimal amounts of pressure while you put on a thick layer.
Watch your Tone (& Texture)

Changes in weather and long days can often leave us feeling like our skin’s lost its supple nature and even texture. One thing that restores this like nothing else is the powerful combination of yoghurt, honey and turmeric. From the moisturizing abilities of yoghurt (thanks to the lactic acid), honey’s humectant properties and turmeric’s pigmentation-fighting composition, this one’s a recipe passed down for ages.
Ingredients you’ll need:
1 tbsp plain yoghurt, 1 tbsp turmeric and 1 tbsp honey.
Directions:
Scoop, mix and apply! Wipe it off after 5-7 minutes with a wet washcloth, and rinse with cold water afterwards.
Dark Circles Be Gone

Coconut and almond oils are rich in Vitamin A and most importantly, Vitamin E. These two combined form a sure-fire way to combat dark circles.
Ingredients you’ll need:
1 tsp almond oil, 1 tsp coconut oil.
Directions:
Mix the two oils and apply in circular motions. Repeat daily for best results.
Wave buh-bye to tired skin and say hello to these new additions to your skin care routine this monsoon.
